Insurance & Private Pay

Whether you would like to use your insurance benefits, your out of network benefits or utilize private pay and super bills, we can help you find the best option for you.

Before your first visit we want to check benefits, your potential deductible and potential copay. All of our paperwork is sent electronically so there is no need to print anything.

  • Individual Therapy sessions are 53+ minutes, and billed to your insurance

Insurance

We are currently accepting clients that have Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Optum/United Health Care/UMR and Cigna Health Care plans for individual sessions. We are happy to run your benefits and check your copay before you start with your therapist.

We do not bill insurance for couples and family sessions at this time.

Private Pay

We are able to provide a Superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement for clients that would like to utilize their Out of Network Benefits. We are happy to offer sliding scale.

  • Individual Sessions start at $125

  • Couples Sessions start at $150

  • Families start at $175

FAQs |

  • Yes. Our associates are able to accept Anthem, Aetna and Cigna Health Care Plans

Sometimes insurance companies require that you pay your deductible or your out of pocket max before they cover sessions. We encourage all of our clients to call their provider and find out what their plan offers. We are happy to help with this process.

  • Superbills are like large invoices that are sent to your insurance company. After 4 visits, a superbill is automatically generated and emailed to you. From there, you may submit this superbill to your insurance provider. It is often that your provider will reimburse you a certain percentage. For complete clarity, we encourage you to call your provider and ask what your out of network benefits are.

  • The scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside for you, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment.

If for any reason a session is canceled less than 24 hours prior, your full fee or full contracted insurance rate will be charged (if your therapist accepts your insurance). You may also inquire whether there is an option to meet virtually if you’re unable to attend an in-person session.

  • This is a complicated question. The primary reason is an ethical one. Insurance asks that there be a diagnosis for every client seen. This means that the primary person with the insurance plan needs to have a diagnosis that meets the requirements for medically necessary weekly sessions. This feels unfair to us, overly pathologizing and unnecessary.
