Group Therapy & Events

At Ventura Therapy Collective, we believe that accessing mental health care should be clear, supportive, and as stress-free as possible. We understand how important—and sometimes necessary—it is to use your insurance benefits when seeking therapy.

  • That’s why we offer insurance verification and a clear breakdown of your benefits before any service begins. You’ll know exactly what your copay, coinsurance, and deductible responsibilities are before your first individual session, group, or class. Transparency matters to us—because your care should never come with surprises.

Our somatic healing groups, including Breathwork and Sound Bath classes, are offered at a low cash-pay rate to keep them accessible to our broader community. If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we have scholarship options available and we’re happy to talk with you.

As we often say:
“Healing is done in the presence of an empathic witness.”
Whether through talk therapy, group connection, or somatic practice, we’re here to hold that space for you—with care, presence, and respect.

Sound Bath for Providers

Sound Bath for Providers

A space for therapists to restore, reconnect, and be cared for—together.

At Ventura Therapy Collective, we believe that taking care of our community includes taking care of the people who care for others. Mental health providers hold so much—emotion, trauma, hope, grief, transformation—and often keep showing up even when they’re running low themselves.

Our Sound Bath for Providers is an offering rooted in VTC’s mission: supporting healing, sustainability, and community care. This is a gentle space created specifically for therapists, associates, and helping professionals to step out of “holding it all,” soften into rest, and let your nervous system reset.

Sound healing supports the body in slowing down, releasing tension, and integrating the emotional weight that can accumulate over time in clinical work. This is not about productivity or pushing through—it’s about restoration. It’s about remembering you are part of a community that sees you, values you, and wants you well.

Why This Matters for Providers

Working in mental health is meaningful—and it’s also deeply demanding. Sound bath can be a supportive practice for clinicians navigating stress, compassion fatigue, burnout, and the natural nervous system impact of being in relational work all day.

Many providers experience:

  • Nervous system regulation and a deeper sense of calm

  • Reduced stress and anxiety, supporting long-term resilience

  • Improved sleep and restfulness

  • Emotional release and integration

  • Less physical tension held in the body

  • More grounded presence in both work and life

  • A felt sense of connection with other providers

What to Expect

You’ll be guided into a comfortable resting position and immersed in calming frequencies using instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other soothing tones. The experience is gentle, grounding, and accessible for all levels—whether it’s your first sound bath or part of your ongoing self-care practice.

This is a space to receive.
To breathe.
To come back to yourself—supported by people who understand the weight of what you carry.

At VTC, we are committed to creating spaces where providers don’t have to do it alone.

Community Sound Bath

What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a deeply restorative experience where you are “bathed” in the healing vibrations of instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other resonant sounds. You simply lie down, relax, and allow the soothing tones to wash over your body and mind.

This isn’t just about listening—it’s about feeling. The vibrations move through the nervous system, helping quiet the mental chatter, release tension, and gently guide the body into a state of calm and balance.

Mental Health Benefits of Sound Bath Healing

  • Deep Relaxation & Stress Relief
Sound baths help the body shift from a stressed state (fight-or-flight) to a relaxed one (rest-and-digest), easing anxiety and calming the nervous system.

  • Improved Sleep & Restorative Rest
Many participants report improved sleep and deeper rest after sessions, as the sound frequencies help reset the body’s natural rhythms.

  • Emotional Release & Clarity
The resonance of sound can help unlock and release stored emotions, often without needing to put them into words. You might cry, sigh, feel a wave of peace—or just drift into a tranquil state of being.

  • Mindfulness & Presence
The tones help anchor attention gently to the present moment, creating a meditative experience even for those who struggle with traditional meditation.

  • Connection to Self & Inner Stillness
In the stillness created by sound, many people experience a sense of inner spaciousness and connection—an invitation to return to themselves with greater compassion and ease.

Sound bath healing is a beautiful complement to talk therapy, breathwork, or simply as a practice of self-care. It reminds us that sometimes, healing doesn’t have to be effortful—it can be received.

Community Breathwork

What is Somatic Release Breathwork?

Somatic Release Breathwork is a powerful healing practice that uses conscious, connected breathing to help release stored stress, trauma, and emotional tension from the body. "Somatic" means relating to the body—and this modality recognizes that our bodies often hold onto experiences that our minds may not be fully aware of. Through intentional breath, we gently invite the nervous system to soften and the body to process what’s been stuck, unspoken, or suppressed.

Sessions often involve guided breathing patterns, supportive music, and a safe container where you’re encouraged to notice what arises—emotionally, physically, or spiritually—without judgment. This might include sensations, emotions, memories, or even subtle movements that emerge as part of the release process.

Benefits for Mental Health

  • Nervous System Regulation
Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system (our rest-and-digest state), helping reduce anxiety, calm overwhelm, and bring the body out of chronic fight-or-flight.

  • Trauma Healing
Many people find breathwork to be a gentle yet profound way to access and release stored trauma without needing to talk about it directly. It offers a pathway to healing that’s felt rather than explained.

  • Emotional Clarity and Resilience
As emotions surface and are released, people often report feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to themselves. It can reduce emotional reactivity and increase the ability to respond with calm presence.

  • Body Awareness and Mindfulness
Breathwork deepens your relationship with your body. You become more attuned to your inner cues—what feels safe, what feels off—and more empowered to make choices that support your well-being.

  • Sense of Wholeness and Connection
Breathwork creates space to reconnect with your own wisdom, intuition, and inner peace. It can feel like a return to self—a reminder that healing is possible from the inside out.

Therapist's Breathwork

This is a closed group for therapists and healers

Why Somatic Breathwork Matters for Therapists

As therapists, we often move through the world with open hearts and full schedules—holding space for others while quietly carrying our own emotional weight. Somatic breathwork offers a space to exhale—to reconnect with your body, process what you’ve absorbed, and release what no longer serves you.

Through intentional breathing, we gently activate the body’s natural ability to regulate, restore, and renew. Breathwork supports nervous system health, emotional clarity, and the kind of embodied presence that makes our work more sustainable and grounded.

It’s not just a practice—it’s a reclaiming. A reminder that you, too, are worthy of deep care.

Benefits of Somatic Breathwork for Therapists

  • Nervous System Regulation
Helps shift from chronic stress or burnout into a state of calm, grounded presence.

  • Emotional Processing
Supports the safe release of stored emotions that may accumulate through holding space for others.

  • Increased Self-Awareness
Deepens connection to the body’s cues, boundaries, and needs—vital for sustainable caregiving.

  • Prevention of Burnout
Creates space for rest, integration, and renewal—essential for long-term well-being in clinical work.

  • Embodied Presence
Enhances your ability to attune to clients while remaining anchored in your own experience.

  • Spaciousness & Clarity
Invites insight, creativity, and a felt sense of spaciousness—making room for what’s next.

  • Healing Without Words
Offers a non-verbal pathway to healing, which can be profoundly restorative for therapists used to language as their main tool.

  • Reconnection to Self
Reminds you that you’re more than a therapist—you’re a human being who deserves care, too.

Community Breathwork

Community Sound Bath

Sound Bath for Providers

Sound Bath for Providers

Sound Bath for Community

FREE Sound Bath for Therapists & Healers

Why Sound Bath Healing Matters for Therapists

As therapists, we hold so much. We listen deeply, care fiercely, and often carry the emotional weight of others while tending to our own lives and responsibilities. Sound bath healing offers a rare and sacred space where we don’t have to do—we can simply be.

Immersing ourselves in sound allows the nervous system to soften, stress to release, and the mind to rest. It’s a gentle reset, a way to refill our inner well so we can continue to offer care from a place of fullness rather than depletion. In the stillness of sound, we remember that we, too, deserve healing, peace, and restoration.

This isn’t just self-care—it’s soul care.

WEDNESDAY Somatic Breathwork for Community Members
