Relational Consultation for Owners, Supervisors & Therapists in Leadership
Curious people often ask how I built Ventura Therapy Collective. The honest-to-God truth is that I couldn’t tell you. I have no idea how I got here. It all happened so fast. I never made a business plan. NO CLUE about Profit and Loss. Didn’t have an idea of how I wanted it to look. Looking back, I think that I was looking for a feeling or a sense of place or space.
I think this is what happened…
In the beginning, I wasn’t trying to build something big. I was trying to build something safe—a small office, one thoughtful associate (now Cody Norris, LMFT), and a way to do good clinical work without the weight and bureaucracy of large systems. Cody and I wanted care to feel real and obtainable again.
What surprised us most was that it grew. And it kept growing. We grew so fast, and the reason was that there was a significant need for associates to have good supervision and a place that felt sustainable to work. Cody and I found that there was such a stark contrast between what was taught in school and what the actual application of these skills was. So I kept hiring. Until I couldn’t hold it alone anymore.
Along the way, I gathered an extraordinary group of women who believed in what we were creating: a practice rooted in accessibility, compassion, and care for the people who give care. A place where new therapists are seen as humans first. A collective built on mentorship, curiosity, and shared responsibility rather than hierarchy and fear. All of these women had something very much in common. It wasn’t that we all came from the county. It was because we knew that we could do this differently. Something more aligned with what we were missing ourselves. Community. Mentorship. Grace.
What began as a 100% telehealth practice in my garage has since grown into over 8,000 square feet of office space, 38 employees, multiple wellness programs, training pathways, insurance contracts, and all of the complexity that comes with running an associate-centered, insurance-based group practice.
I won’t romanticize this work.
Running a group practice is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
What I want, deeply, is for others not to have to learn everything the hard way. It doesn’t have to be so difficult that you give up. You don’t need to make all the same mistakes I did. So… I will tell you everything I know and what not to do.

My Consulting Approach
My approach to consulting is relational, not prescriptive.
This work is not about forcing outcomes, hitting arbitrary milestones, or optimizing you into exhaustion. It’s an invitation to slow down, look inward, and bring light to the places that are asking for your attention—personally, professionally, and relationally.
Together, we explore:
Where you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or isolated
Where your intuition has gone quiet—and how to reconnect with it
How your leadership style intersects with your nervous system
What sustainability actually looks like for you
How to lead without abandoning yourself
This is about becoming more secure in your intuition and more grounded in your entrepreneurial spirit—not by pushing harder, but by listening more honestly.
I consult from real experience, not theory. I’ll share what worked, what didn’t, and the messy, uncomfortable truths in between. I’ve burned out. I’ve rebuilt. I’ve questioned everything: my identity, my purpose. And I’ve learned that this work—while demanding—can also be deeply meaningful and connective when done with care.
If you’re building, growing, or reimagining your practice or leadership role, I’ll meet you where you are—with honesty, empathy, and deep respect for the complexity of what you’re holding.
Practice Support & Relational Consultation Intake
This intake is designed to help me understand your practice in its full context—logistically, relationally, and intentionally. There are no right or wrong answers. Only honesty about where you are and what you’re calling in.
I hold consultation with the same care I hold clinical work: with curiosity, respect, and an understanding that leadership and ownership can be profoundly isolating.
Please complete the intake before we begin:

PS: The very first business consultation I ever scheduled for myself, I burst into tears within minutes. I was overwhelmed, exhausted, and didn’t know where to start. I make space for all of this—because it is part of the role. My hope is that we will laugh, cry, reflect, and celebrate together. Because we’re human.
A Few Things You Should Know About Me
Beyond the intake and the credentials:
I am playful and loud.
I laugh a lot.
I swear A LOT.
I am more relational than formal.
I am honest because you don’t have time to waste. I will be direct and I will hold space for whatever you’re carrying. I don’t believe in gatekeeping. I will tell you everything I know because you shouldn’t have to learn everything the hard way.
I will challenge you when needed.
I will cheer for you always.
This work is hard. Leadership can feel lonely. And you don’t have to do it alone.
So—let’s get into it.
